We Talk a Different Language

You say you just don’t see it
He says it’s perfect sense
You just can’t get agreement
In this present tense
We all talk a different language
Talking in defence.
Say it loud, say it clear
You can listen as well as you hear
It’s too late when we die
To admit we don’t see eye to eye

I have only recently come to the conclusion, that from my earliest recollection of our connection to the State of Israel, when I attended a Yiddish Labour Zionist school, to the present day, that we may say the same words but in fact we talk a different language.
Our meanings are polar opposites.
I have come up with a few examples.
RELIGIONS PURSUING PEACE
ISLAM IS PEACE
After 9/11, as the US was preparing to go into Iraq and Afghanistan, the same people who were planning this war began using the expression “ISLAM is PEACE”. George W. Bush used this expression more than fifteen times over the next few years as “The War on Terror” became more intense and thousands of US servicemen lost their lives. The US leadership wanted us to believe that even the term “Islam” means peace while the war he was waging was not against Muslims but against terrorists.
He even got this wrong. The War on Terror was against ISLAMIST terrorists.
In spite of the fact that George W. Bush and Western European leaders tried to equate Islam with Peace, the true meaning of Islam is not peace, it is SUBMISSION.
The translation of “Islam” is submission. As you may recall from my earlier posts, over a period of 150 years after the death of Mohammed, Islam spread from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Rim. This was achieved mostly under the sword.
“Sala’am” is the term for Peace.
JUDAISM and PEACE
To be fair and accurate, the biblical Conquest of Canaan was violent. Tanakh recounts many episodes of military conquest. To this day we celebrate our military achievements under the Maccabees and Bar Kochba. But 600 years before Mohammed was born, Hillel instructed , "Whatever is hateful and distasteful to you, do not do to your fellow man. This is the entire Torah, the rest is commentary. Go learn."
The Conquest of Islam is not over. A “true believer” wants to see the entire world ruled under Sharia law.
MARTYRDOM
MARTYR IN ISLAM
Martyr is a term used in Islam for Muslims who died while fulfilling a religious commandment, including jihad.
“In modern political usage, various Palestinian groups consider all Palestinians killed in
the Israeli–Palestinian conflict to be martyrs for the cause, whether they be civilians or
fighters. Militant groups like Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad consider martyrdom as the highest form of sacrifice for the Palestinian cause, leading to acts of terrorism, including suicide bombings. This ethos is widespread in educational materials, visual media, community events, ceremonies, and has influenced the indoctrination of children from a young age, impacting the psychological well-being of Palestinian children”.- Chen, Tianshe (June 2012). "Exploration of the Hamas Suicide Attacks". Journal of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies (In Asia
The reward of a martyr includes; The martyr can act as a witness before Allah in favor of his
relatives. Forgiveness of all sins except debt, which his family are to provide for. Intercession for 70 of his relatives. This is a praised positions generally reserved for the Prophet Muhammad pbuh for all of the Muslim ummah. Thus, the martyr is raised in ranking and can intercede or act for or represent his relatives to receive divine mercy from their Lord on the day of judgment. The martyr escapes the trial for the day of judgment and enters heaven This is a major achievement as the scales of justice have been set up to test us to our deeds and rewards. However, martyrs are also ranked according to their deeds and the time and place and circumstances in which they died, such as genocide against them as in China or in the conflict with Israel. -https://islamonline.net/en/the-honor-of-martyrdom-in-islam/
MARTYR IN JUDAISM
“One must be martyred rather than kill a fellow Jew, since all life is equally dear to God, and one life may not be destroyed for another.”
In Islam martyrdom is active. In Judaism martyrdom is passive. We die “al kiddush hashem” to protect another human being or to defend our religion. We do not actively risk our lives to be martyrs. We risk our lives to defend our fellow man, to defend our co-religionist, to defend our people, to defend our religion.
And in Modern times to defend our state.
SETTLER
From its earliest days as a Yishuv, settlements were established to build the land and to act as a line of defense for the State of Israel. In post Oslo times a “settler” became known as a person who “settled” in Judea and Samaria and to the world the term “settler” took on negative neo-colonialist connotations.
For Israelis a “settler” is someone who lives in the “shtachim” or “the territories”, what
the world calls the West Bank.
In one of the videos taken by Hamas on October 7, 2023, a Hamas terrorist calls his father from Kibbutz Bi’eri and proudly reports that he killed 10 “settlers”.
To an Islamic jihadist a “settler” is any Jew who is living in Israel.
PEACE
The philosophy of Peace under Islam is as follows…"Muhammad said that this blessed period will be experienced through the mediation of the Mahdi, who will come in the end times to save the world from chaos, injustice, and moral collapse. He will eradicate godless ideologies and bring an end to the prevailing injustice. Moreover, he will make religion like it was in the days of Muhammad, cause the Quran's moral teachings to prevail among humanity, and establish peace and well-being throughout the world." - Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar,
A time of Peace under Islam will come once the world follows the teachings of Mohammed,
when the whole world becomes Muslim.
The Jewish idea of peace consists of “being a light unto the nations” and "Tikkun Olam”,
repairing the world.
The best example of this is the story of Oded Lifshitz and Vivian Silver.
Oded and Vivian lived their lives as peace activists and were searching for a way to live
peacefully with the Gazan population. They would spend most of their time driving and escorting Gazans who needed medical attention in Israel to various hospitals in Tel Aviv.
Vivian, 74, lived on Kibbutz Be’eri and was murdered on October 7, 2023 and Oded, 84, lived
on Kibbutz Nir Oz. He remains a hostage.
HOW WE TREAT OUR SOLDIERS
There is no comparison to any armed forces in the world to how Israel treats its soldiers and its reservists. Yesterday we were treated to a “Yom Kef”, a “Day of Fun” at a children’s amusement park near Haifa. This was a day sponsored by my son-in-law’s battalion for the families of the troops to gather at this amusement park and spend the day together.
Children, parents, grandparents and soldiers were treated to rides, entertainment and food for a brief respite from the war.
Only in Israel.
This was just a few examples of how we talk a different language. Please feel free to make additions to this list in the comment section.
